Extended Season
What are some thoughts on the NFL looking into extend the season schedule to 18 games? In my opinion, I think the NFL should stay put with the regular 16 games for the players sake. All NFL players throw their bodies out every week sometimes severely injuring themselves. From a fan's persective, I would want the NFL season to be extended because football is a great sport to watch and with a larger schedule, we can watch more games. But, I am looking out for the players on this subject. NFL player's careers would be greatly shortened in my opinion because more games means a greater chance of getting injured.

I agree starting the 18 game season would be to physically demanding. It would also mess up the record books.
ReplyDeleteChanging the NFL to 18 games is one of the worst ideas that could possibly come forward right now in the NFL. Instead of changing the amount of games played the NFL should be worried about not having a lockout so that the NFL can have a season next year. Not only that but the records would be broken overall the NFL needs to just stay at 16 games thats the way it was when it became the most popular sport in the NFL and thats the way it should stay.
